About Melanie Eaton, LCSW
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oregon and Washington and I consider it a privilege to do this work. For the past 17 years, I’ve supported people on their paths toward healing, self-love and genuine transformation. My career has taken me through the legal system, a university counseling center, community mental health, the VA Healthcare System, and multidisciplinary teams in medical settings — basically, if humans experience it, I’ve probably sat with someone who’s lived it. It’s made me passionate about meeting people exactly where they are, without judgment and without the pressure to “be fine.”

I work with clients navigating the full spectrum of life challenges: anxiety in all its creative disguises, stress from work or relationships, depression, grief and loss, trauma (past, present, or the kind that still randomly shows up at 3 AM), the weight of systemic oppression, and the everyday challenges of our souls having a human experience.
I’m trained in evidence-based therapies and keep my skills current with ongoing training — because you deserve a therapist who’s continuously growing too. I affirm and celebrate LGBTQIA+ communities and all People of the Global Majority and I strive to create a space where every part of you is welcome, even the parts that think they should be “fixed by now.”

Outside the therapy room, you’ll find me in my happiest places: hiking, mountain biking, backpacking, kayaking, traveling or wandering the PNW - probably looking for my readers. Nature keeps me grounded, curious, and reminded that change is always possible.
